My Journey

My path to massage therapy wasn't a straight line. I spent years working in project management — a career that kept my mind busy but never quite satisfied a deeper pull I felt towards understanding the body. Even while working at a desk, I was studying anatomy in my spare time, booking onto bodywork courses at weekends, and quietly building a second life in wellness.

Over the past ten years, I've immersed myself in the study of massage, bodywork, and movement. I trained in sports massage early on, which gave me a solid foundation in how the body performs, adapts, and recovers. That clinical understanding became the backbone of everything I do — but it was only the beginning.

Travel changed everything. Spending extended time in Asia opened my eyes to entirely different ways of approaching the body. I learned from practitioners who worked with energy lines rather than muscle groups, who used breath as a tool rather than an afterthought, and who saw the body not as a machine to be fixed but as a system to be listened to. Those experiences didn't replace my Western training — they enriched it in ways I couldn't have imagined.

Completing my yoga teacher training in India was another turning point. It deepened my understanding of breath, alignment, and the profound connection between body and mind. It taught me to slow down, to observe more carefully, and to trust the body's own intelligence — lessons I carry into every massage session.

When I settled in Brighton & Hove, I knew I wanted to find a space that reflected the values I'd built my practice around. That's when I found ekah yoga studio — a warm, grounded community that shares my belief in inclusivity, holistic wellbeing, and making wellness genuinely accessible.

I founded Omashu Wellness to bring together everything I've learned — the clinical rigour of sports massage, the subtlety of Eastern bodywork, the mindfulness of yoga — into a practice that truly serves each individual client. No two bodies are the same, and no two sessions should be either.

How I Work

No two sessions are the same. I begin every appointment by checking in with you — how your body feels, what's been going on, what you need today. From there, I adapt my approach in real time.

Rather than following a rigid protocol, I blend techniques from across my training — deep tissue, sports massage, relaxation, trigger point work, and Eastern-inspired bodywork — to give you exactly what your body is asking for.

I believe massage isn't a luxury. It's an essential part of looking after yourself. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and unhurried — so you can leave feeling genuinely better.
